The story of Rifle

Rifle is a small Western Colorado town located along the Colorado River, surrounded by rugged mesas, canyons, and wide-open scenery. Once shaped by ranching and the energy industry, it now serves as a convenient gateway to outdoor attractions such as Rifle Falls, Rifle Gap, and Rifle Mountain Park. Its relaxed setting makes it a comfortable overnight stop before continuing south toward the San Juan Mountains and Ouray.
